2008 Mercedes-Benz Mercedes Marathon in Birmingham, Alabama on February 10, 2008 at 7:00 am. Start at Boutwell Auditorium in downtown Birmingham and finish with a post-race party sponsored by Jim 'n Nick's Bar-B-Q. 6:58 a.m.

8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Jim ‘n Nick’s Post Race Party – Boutwell Auditorium - 1930 8th Avenue North- don’t miss out on the country’s best post-race party featuring two live bands, lots of genuine southern bar-b-que from Jim ‘n Nick’s Restaurants, lots of cold beer from Michelob Ultra, and lots of Cokes, Dasani and PowerAde from Birmingham Coca-Cola. Race merchandise and a couple of expo vendors will still be there to clear out their remaining merchandise. While you wait enjoy lots of BBQ and such. The Downtown YMCA (just a few blocks away) will be open for anyone wishing to shower after the race before coming to the party.

Awards Ceremony for Overall Mercedes Marathon & Alabama Power Mercedes Half-Marathon Winners and Enterprise Rent-a-Car Mercedes Marathon Relay Winners
• Cash awards will be given to the top three overall male and female winners in the marathon and top three overall male and female winners in the half-marathon. Cash awards will also be given to the overall masters male and female in each event.

• Age group awards will be awarded three deep in each age group. A special awards tent will be set up next to the stage in Boutwell Auditorium for age group winners to pick up their awards. These awards will NOT be announced on the stage. Results will be posted in the lobby of Boutwell Auditorium as they become available. Please check to see if you’ve won an age group award and proceed to the Award Tent to claim your prize. Age group awards WILL NOT be mailed after the race. Please make arrangements for your award to be claimed if you cannot stay to pick yours up.
