UCC Coffee Kona Marathon
Founded in 1994, the Kona Marathon and Family Fun Runs has quickly grown into West Hawaii's premiere road race offering all four traditional road racing distances: Marathon, 1/2 Marthon, 10K & 5K.
WHO: An estimated 1,000 runners of all ages and abilities will be competing for prize money, participating for health and enjoyment, and raising money for charity.
WHERE: Start and Finish at the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort just south of Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. The course follows the run portion of the 'Ironman Triathlon'. How/where do I pick up my race number?
Race week packet pick up will take place Monday, June 23 - Friday, June 27 at Hawaiian Pedals, located in the Kona Inn Shopping Center and Saturday, June 28, at The Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort from 10 am - 5 pm. You can pick up your race numbers on race morning from 4:30 am until race start at the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort.

How do I get my Finishers Shirt?
Finishers shirts will be available after the race at the Finishers shirts tent. Shirts will not be mailed. It is up to you to pick up your Finisher shirt.
What replenishment fluid is availble on the course?
Kona Marathon proudly endorses Ultima Replenisher for on course and training replenishment.This year's flavor will be BananaBerry.
Is there Energy Gel available at aid stations?
There is one GU Energy Gel station on the course which you will pass twice on the out and back course at mile marks 10.5 and 15.5.
How many aid stations are there?
Aid stations are located every 1 to 1.5 miles. There are 20 aid stations along the course. For the Half Marathon, there are 11 aid stations along the course. Available at all stations is water, Ultima Replenisher. Coca-Cola, Diet Coke and ice. See the Course Map for more details.
Are there restrooms along the course?
Yes. There are Luas (porta-johns) at or next to every aid station.
How hilly is the course?
The course is relatively flat, never exceeding 120 feet above sea level with gentle climbs and drops. See the Elevation Chart for more details.
