The course starts at 250 feet in Central Park. In the second mile, the course drops to 50 feet. From mile 2 to 11, it is mostly flat with the exception of 3 hills that climb about 40 feet each.

Mile 12 goes back up from 50 to 250 feet on what is known as hospitalization hill. This is the same hill as part of the USMC Historic Half where the runner in 2009 had the heart attack.

Mile 13 has a down then a climb. You didn’t notice this on the way out in mile 1. However, you will notice it as part of the last mile.
